It said it didn't find any events

That's a real answer, not a failure — CalendHER is built to tell you it found nothing rather than invent plausible-looking events to fill the gap. It happens when the image has no dates in it, or when the text is too small or too blurry to read.

Worth trying: crop tightly to the part of the image with the dates, take the photo straight on rather than at an angle, and make sure the day and month are actually visible in the picture you sent.

Some of the events were missing

Send a tighter crop of the section that got skipped. Long schedules photographed from a distance are the usual cause — if the rows are small enough to be hard for you to read on screen, they're hard to read automatically too. Splitting a big schedule into two uploads works well.

The date is right but the year is wrong

Most schedules print "Sat 14 March" with no year at all, so CalendHER works out the most sensible year itself. When it guesses wrong, change it on the check-it screen before you add the events — that screen is there precisely so nothing lands on your calendar unread.

My iPhone photo wouldn't upload

iPhones save photos as HEIC by default, which browsers can't always pass along. A screenshot always works, and so does changing Settings → Camera → Formats to Most Compatible. JPEG, PNG, WebP and GIF are all fine.

Which calendars does it work with?

All the usual ones. CalendHER produces a standard .ics calendar file, which Apple Calendar, Google Calendar, Outlook and almost everything else knows how to open. Work and school Outlook accounts are handled too.

On iPhone, how do the events actually get in?

Tap to add and iOS hands the events to Apple Calendar, where you confirm them. If Safari offers to download a file instead, open the downloaded item once and Calendar will take it from there.

Can I use my own colour?

Yes — pink is just the default. Plum, ocean, slate, forest, amber and graphite are all available, and CalendHER can carry your choice between your own devices with a short pairing code: create the code on one device, type it on the other, and both stay in step.

Codes never contain the letters I or O or the digits 0 or 1, so nothing is ambiguous when you read one off a screen. If a code won't take, check it hasn't been mistyped with one of those.

Why does the iPhone app ask for Photos and Calendar access?

Photos so you can pick the screenshot you want read, and Calendar so the events you approve can be written. The calendar library CalendHER uses also checks for Reminders access when it starts — CalendHER does not read or create reminders.

When is the iPhone app out?

It’s coming soon to the App Store. It adds CalendHER to the iOS Share Sheet, so a screenshot, photo, PDF, piece of text or link can be sent to it from anywhere on your phone. This page will carry the App Store link as soon as it's live.

How much does it cost?

CalendHER is free to use today, with no account and no subscription.
